MORE ABOUT TIA
Tia Gray- Co-Author, Radio Personality, Community Volunteer
The introduction to the world of communications, first starts with communicating effectively with ourselves. We hear the words we speak before anyone else does. The importance that I stress on effective communication has allowed me to be offered many different opportunities to grow in this field and sought out after as a motivational coach. I was asked to co-write a book entitled, “I am a Woman Empowered- Strength, Resiliency, and Triumphs. I was hired by WDRBmedia Station to create and host my own radio show called, “Made in the Dugout” They trusted my creativity and style of communication. This allowed me to discuss a range of topics from living abroad, elementary students and parents facing racial issues, and giving advise to women looking to use their writing skills as authors or to create magazines, all while being able to play local music artists along with mainstream artists.
I have been able to use that same platform to bring attention to a local community center that assists with food drives, giving back to the community, and that creates events for the children in my area. I was also featured on the cover of Huami Magazine out of Charlotte North Carolina. My passion for community and what I do has gotten the attention of people outside of where I currently work and live.
It is these experiences and opportunities that I believe makes me a great fit for either the Communications Director or Community Organizer. I have used my communications platform in service of my community. I have facilitated and organized community events. And I think that your organization, having the tract record that you do, is a natural next step for me. I wish you well in your search to fill both of these rolls and if chosen I will carry out either role to the best of my current abilities along with what I know is sure to be invaluable training from your esteemed organization.
Cordially and sincerely,
From small, solo projects to creative collaborations, I’m always looking for the chance to explore new venues and learn something new that I can apply to my work. Explore my portfolio, and feel free to get in touch with any questions.
